Challenges to The Future of Women’s Health in Jefferson County: A Panel Discussion

More than 70 people turned out on April 5th, 2017 to hear a panel discussion on the Future of Women’s Health in Jefferson County. Sponsored by The Fund for Women and Girls, the event featured a very knowledgeable group of women health-care providers who spoke to the current issues and concerns surrounding the delivery of women’s and girls’ health services in our county.

Moderated by Julie Gertler, chair of The Fund for Women and Girls, the panel provided background and perspective on the local health-care services available for all ages, as well as the challenges in providing these services and how we, as a community, can be advocates for improvements.

Panelists and audience participants discussed what positive actions the community might take to ensure that essential health-care services remain available and affordable to the women and girls of Jefferson County.
